On the Soundtrack to '96 you could hear Benimaru shout "Elec TRIGGER!"
....and Krauser says "EAT THIS!!!"....Geese shouts "Deadly RAVE!"
Kyo, Iori, Clark also have other quotes which did not seem to be accounted for
in the game. However, with the advent of KOF '97, we know what happened. The sound
samples and probably the moves as well *I've been told of a hacker who saw the sprites
in the cartridge!* were held back for '97. They are NOT selectable via code/cheat...

With the swift arrival of Orochi Iori and Leona, the players of KOF '97 now look for
more Orochi selectables.... It so turned out that the *Orochi* New Faces Team were!...

Did you know that KOF '96 contains references to one of the now most famous anime series of all time? Neon Genesis Evangelion is it's name. To sum up, Yuri taunts you with "Anta Baka?" (Are you stupid?) which is a parody of Asuka. On Yuri's second win in a row, she will say "Service, service!", which is a parody of Misato. As for Iori's SDM, well, you only have to look at Shinji's reaction to the first angel to realise where SNK got their inspiration...
